HerCampus Cutie- Lauricia Montane

Lauricia Montane, junior Business Entrepreneurship major and African-American studies minor, has her goals in sight, and tells Her Campus what they are and how she plans on achieving them.

Relationship status– Single

Volunteer activities/organizations on campus– “Treasurer for the Black Student Union as well as the treasurer for Asociación de Estudiantes Latinos (AdEL). I am always doing community service from block clean ups to mentoring youth, pretty much anything I can do and have time for.”

Career goals– “I want to run multiple businesses of my own but coming out of college I first plan to open up a Home Care Facility for the elderly. Ultimately I just want to be my own boss.”

Any obstacles to these goals– “My main obstacle is picking a specific field of business and running with it. Also, I have a lot of self-doubt so I just want to eventually gain the confidence to succeed in the world of business.”

Qualities you look for in that special someone– “For one, I absolutely need them to have a good sense of humor being that I am extremely sarcastic. They need to be smart, goal oriented, honest, respectful, and cute!”

Favorite thing to do– “Eat! I love eating EVERYTHING! I’m not a picky person at all when it comes to food, so if it’s edible I’m with it!”

Hidden talent– “I’m very artistic. Most people don’t know this until they see a picture I have drawn or some artsy little project I randomly may have worked on.”

Fun fact about yourself “I may have a serious demeanor but if you spend some time around me you will be pleasantly surprised by how funny and outgoing I am. Also I’m kind of obsessed with Kevin Hart; he almost inspires me to be a comedian.”

With her passion for helping the community, and her drive for owning her own business, this campus cutie will go far in reaching her goals!
